01 · The challenge

Les Cours Bellerive is a new-build condo and townhouse development by Prével and Inovim in Mercier-Est, Montréal, on the banks of the St. Lawrence. It is sold in phases, each with its own building, floors and dozens of units. Buyers want three answers first: which units are available, where they sit in the building, and what the floor plan looks like. A PDF price list can’t answer that, and a static page is out of date the day a unit sells.

02 · The solution

We built the site on WordPress with Sage (Roots): Blade templates, ACF field groups kept in code, and WPML for French and English. The sales team edits every page in both languages from the WordPress admin.

The centrepiece is the plan selector. It opens on an aerial view of the whole development with every phase labelled; phases that have sold out say so.

Click a phase and its building appears. Pick a floor directly on the façade.

Plan selector: the Phase 6 building, where a floor is picked on the façade

The floor plan then opens with every unit numbered and sized, and one more click leads to the unit’s own page. Filters for floor, size and bedrooms narrow the list alongside the plan. Every step has its own URL, so a sales rep can send a buyer straight to the 5th floor of Phase 6.

03 · The result

Since 2020 the site has carried the development’s sales phase by phase. When a phase sells out it is marked on the aerial view, and each new phase goes into the same selector instead of a new site. We still maintain it; the most recent work was a campaign landing page with a HubSpot sign-up.
